For those still interested, I will give a quick update on this "Duffy" situation!
I went to the Dr. about a week and a half ago. I saw Dr. Oh who reminded me a lot of my brother in law. He was super down to earth and very good at explaining things in a way us non-experts could understand!
We got to have another ultrasound, and the baby still looks great! "He" (because I am convinced this is a boy!) was walking up the "wall" and sliding back down when we were doing the ultrasound. It was so cute. Clearly he was playing and entertaining himself in there! He is growing well, and I have no reason to believe he won't be a huge baby just like my girls were! It was fun to see him and it was really fun to have Bryant with me to see too!
So, long story short, Dr. Oh is not overly concerned for the baby at this point. Thank goodness! I have now had two High Risk OB's tell me this, so I really feel like all is going to be fine! My antibody numbers aren't so high that they are overly concerned and he said even when the numbers do get high and they have to monitor the baby more frequently, it is rare that the baby is overly affected by the antibodies. PHEW!
I will have blood work done at my regular OB's office every 4-6 weeks to keep track of the antibody levels, but for now, that's all that needs to happen.
Bryant and his cousin Mitchell gave me a blessing a few days after finding out about this Duffy business, and I have felt very peaceful about the whole thing. In Dr. Oh's words....every baby has it's way of driving their parents crazy...this is just this baby's way of doing it! Ha ha! I got a kick out of that!
I continue to be very tired, but didn't experience any horrible morning sickness. Which is nice. I just want a healthy baby! I'm already 16 weeks. My sister is getting married in Feb. and we are all very busy getting things ready for that. It's hard to believe when she gets married, I will be half way done with this pregnancy already. Time is flying by, and this baby will be here before I know it!
