Okay so for any of you interested/concerned from my last post (Megs), we did finally get an update last night. They actually kept my Dad in the hospital another day and night. He was SO sick of being in the hospital! Plus the bed there was like sleeping on a rock I guess. His blood levels are all back to normal, and he is out of pain for the moment. His gallbladder was enlarged (but that is back to normal now too), and they think the pancreas infected the gallbladder. Usually it's the other way around. He had no solid food for 6 days..just clear liquid. He is drained. He has very little strength, but his body has been through an ordeal and it will take time to get back on his feet.
The decision on whether or not they will come home is still up in the air right now. My parents love Mongolia, and have loved serving the people there this past month. It will break their hearts to leave. However, they have wonderful testimonies and are committed to serving the Lord SOMEWHERE. Right now, my dad needs to get some energy back even to make the long 23 hour flight home if it comes to that.
Please continue to keep him in your prayers. I know the Lord is capable of working miracles. We will see what he has in store for them in the next few days and weeks!
