To those who offered their words of sympathy and encouragement to my last post--Thank You! I really appreciate your friendship.
I came across a quote that has helped me put things in perspective a little bit.
“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.” ---Marjorie Pay Hinckley
I LOVED President and Sister Hinckley. I still love them, obviously. And as hard as it has been for me to accept that I am in the Primary once again, whether it was an inspired calling or not--that is where I am needed to serve at this time. I too want the Lord to know that I was really here. And I have a desire to serve the Lord in whatever capacity I am needed. So, I"m going to pull up my boots and stop sulking about it! I will make sure those kids have a lesson every week, and give them the opportunity to gain a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ of their own.
Wish me Luck!

Ahhh good for you! It made me think of one of my favorite quotes:
"put your big girl panties on and deal with it"
THose kids are lucky to have you! what age group do you have by the way?
I love Angela's quote!! I'll remember that. I know working in the Primary is a challenge and a sacrifice. It's a teeny tiny taste of the sacrifice of Jesus for us all. Obviously, you are going to do it with a glad heart. How wonderful is it to even get to serve in the Lord's Kingdom???? We are so lucky to have the gospel in our lives. And I hope that every teacher and advisor my grandchildren have take their calling seriously and sincerely - it's a matter of life or death!!
